A Merwin & Hulbert Early Model Single Action Revolver. Cal. Winchester 1873 (44-40) Serial number 681 on butt, 582 on barrel and cylinder, has 7" barrel, nickel plated and hard rubber grips. The action is slightly at fault in two ways, firstly the spring that pushes the hand that rotates the cylinder does not work, secondly the hammer does not hold fully on full cock, both these faults are simple gunsmith jobs. This pistol reatains about 75% original nickel finish Circa 1877
