A High Quality French, Side Hammer Percussion, (Converted From Flintlock) Pistol. Has a turn off iron barrel stamped with Liege proof marks, a sliding trigger-guard safety catch, a walnut butt with herringbone checkering, mounted with an iron butt cap and small engraved sideplate in the shape of a leaf. All metal parts have a nice even patina, the butt has a minor age crack but is in otherwise excellent condition. Excellent working order and overall condition. 1 1/2" barrel, 6 3/4" overall length, circa 1780.
