A Colt 1851 Navy Model Revolver, matching sn’s 97159. Metal parts have dark even patina with areas of light pitting, Grips are very good with some original varnish, bore has some pitting but still has plenty of rifling, brass backstrap and trigger guard have little silver plating remaining, gun shows slight wear, no cylinder scene remains. A group of Navies in this serial number range were shipped to North Carolina just prior to the Civil War.
