M119 A SCRIMSHAW IVORY KNIFE HANDLE. The ivory is very old with normal ivory surface cracks and a lovely mellow patina. The scrimshaw is done by an Eskimo and is very well done, it depicts a polar bear chasing a seal through a hole in the ice. Signed “Nuguruk”, 4 ½” long.
