A Detached Flintlock Lock, Lockplate stamped with a crown over Tower and WR. for William 1V, 1836 is stamped under the frizzen. This lock is unusual because the frizzen is mounted from inside the lockplate and the mainspring provides the spring for the frizzen via a hinged bar, there is also a safety catch behind the cock. This lock is in excellent, original condition and working order. 5 1/2" overall length.
