A Detached Flintlock Lock. Italian, inscribed Simon Salvadori. The cock, top jaw, frizzen and lockplate tail are all heavily relief engraved with vines and folliage. There is a small patch of light pitting on the edge of the pan and the jaws, otherwise this lock is in excellent working order and condition, 5 1/4" long, circa 1780.
