A 1866 Model Winchester 4th Model Rifle, sn. 152xxx. Original 44RF cal. Has a scarce heavy, round barrel with slight staining, some minor dings, the brass frame has a pleasing patina, the walnut stock has a couple of burn marks, old and not intrusive, the forarm is slightly worn but fits very well, the steel forend cap and steel buttplate fit well and have a nice age patina, the action works well but the bore is poor. This rifle has seen use, probably western, but has not been abused or mucked about with.
