A British percussion contract musket. The lockplate is inscribed “1855 TOWER” and has a crown over VR. The barrel has a one leaf flip up sight and is inscribed “BIRMINGHAM 1851” , it is secured to the stock with wedges and is mounted with 3 ramrod pipes. This arm has regulation brass furniture, a replacement ramrod of the correct style and is in very good working order and condition. 56” overall length.
