A French Chassapot Sword Bayonet. The inscription has been removed from the back of the blade indicating use by the Germans in ww1, The blade is excellent with no pitting or staining, the brass hilt is very good as is the locking button. The steel scabbard has some areas of medium pitting but has no other damage or dents. 28" overall length.
