E106
A Clip pointed Sheffield Bowie Knife. Has a 8” blade, the makers name was inscribed on the ricasso but has been removed by some vandal from a previous age, only the word Sheffeild can still be seen. The guard is nickel silver, the grips are staghorn mounted with a nickel silver escutcheon, the original sheath is blue leather covered, with gold borders and mounted with a nickel silver throat and tip. The knife is in excellent condition but with some faint scratch marks where it has been cleaned, the grips and guard are perfect, the sheath shows a little honest wear. 12 ¾” overall length, circa 1850.
